Re: QQ w/AK overs
This hand is a little different. Either you have three clean outs for the Aces, or four clean outs for the Tens; it'd be almost impossible for you not to have at least one of those outs going for you. Either way, you have the nut BDFD, and more importantly: a read that he likes donking flops in blind defense, especially because it worked for him once already. It'd be tough for you to be ahead on that board, but we have to give it a small possibility.
If you call, he may check the turn with his weaker holdings rather than try to fire another bullet into you with a vulnerable hand like J7. So you may get a free card. I'd still fold the river UI, though. |

What most people dont know is that there are much more Ax combos than - for instance - Jx combos. [/ QUOTE ] Mathmatically that comment makes no sense whatsoever. |

Re: QQ w/AK overs
There are thirteen possible ranks of cards that can be dealt with an ace and there are thirteen possible ranks of cards that can be dealt with a Jack. Just cause they overlap on AJ does not make more of one then the other it's all in how you phrase it. AJ or JA who cares that hand is a Jx and an Ax

Re: QQ w/AK overs
think about it this way.
we have a hand with 2 outs to improve. we have no idea what he has. we have to pay 2.5BB to show this down from here. the pot has 2BB in it. easiest. fold. ever. hand 2 you can stick around til the turn at least |

[ QUOTE ] I call down. [/ QUOTE ] Are you serious? You better have the greatest read of all time to pull this off... Definately not worth it in my book. Easy laydown. [/ QUOTE ] Bla. Just yesterday, after responding to this thread I got donked into in almost exactly the same situation. Villain had 88. |
