I rarely will tip a huge amount, but I almost always tip better than the next guy. Many waitresses or bartenders will look at me after the tip and be like "damn, most kids your age dont know how to tip" and i'm like yea well thats all I know.

so yea, ballers always tip well.

I tip most of the time, it's standard here to give 15% at restaurants and such, tho I don't give that much usually. I will if the service was great, like last night I took a taxi home with a 37" LCD and the guy helped me up the stairs with it, so I gave him 5.00 on a 25.00 ride.

I'm guilty of this. I worked in the service industry for a long time and have a lot of friends still serving, so I am usually good for a 50-100% tip. My roomate just became a manager of a fairly upscale place, so he comps me whenever I swing by, then I always tip 100% of what the bill would be.

This isn't a problem...a problem would be becoming a big stripper when having a bad week...now that's a problem.

waiters make AWFUL hourly rates, sometime less than minimum wage... they totally rely on tips to pay the bills. 20% is default, 15% for bad service, %30-%50 when ballin.

edit: when im ballin heavily i usually go with 110% tip for a nice waitress AFTER paying the whole bill, having 2 or 3 friends with me... yeah im such a hardcore baller

i might tip 35% for good service but I sure as [censored] will not tip anywhere near 15 percent for bad service
