Just out of curiosity, what are they charging these days? Must be way more than pre-Open prices.

$54 for in state residents, $100 for out of state, Black course.

Different fees for each one.

Yesterday was a nightmare.

30mph winds, and our fourth was a walk-on 40+handicapper who lugged a caddy from the group of hustlers that greet you on the way in.

Really tough day. The course was immacculate, impressive, and worth way more than the $50 greens fee, but it was not as enjoyable as I would have hoped. If it was just me and my two brothers, it would have been a wonderful day no matter what - as it was, however, I will have to make a trip back later in the season.

Bolts to nuts: 97 (with creative scorekeeping on 15) with a birdie on 10 and a very satisfying par on 17. I think 17 was my favorite hole on the course.

I have an abundance of pictures, and I am possibly going to make a more detailed trip report.

That's it for now, more to come.

- Jay

Lame. It was $37 last time I played it, well after the Open.

Apparently he ignored the sign at the first tee.

After the round, you should have taken picture of him next to the sign, giving a thumbs up.

Bump, let's go. If you want I can send you my email address and you can send me the pics. I'll make a Flickr page and then I can embed one of their flash-based photo stream things.

Evan, and all, I am so sorry I haven't posted anything further about my round. I have recently returned to the golf business, taking a position as an assistant at a local club, so I have been pretty busy.

I promise I will work on a trip report with pictures this week.

Gary, best of luck, but most of all HAVE FUN! My game wasn't where it needed to be to shoot a number when I went, so I grinded too hard and worried too much about my swing instead of having fun and playing golf.

I also was VERY poor with my course management. Make sure as you're playing to take your medicine and save every stroke you can. If you hit fairways and keep it around the greens, you'll be fine.

A big difference I found was that the course is much more playable from the middle tees than I thought it would be. I think it plays from around 6600 Y, which if you keep it in play isn't that bad.

More to come. Best of luck, Gary!

I played red on Friday. Great course, first time I played anything other than black. I shot 90 (49-41), hit the ball well but missed every 4 foot putt I had (made a couple 20 footers).
