[ QUOTE ] KG, Nash, Bell, Marion, Diaw would be pretty sick Barbosa, Noah as reserves [/ QUOTE ] It still wouldn't solve the Duncan problem which is pretty "unsolvable." And if they get KG, I can guarantee you they won't have Atlanta's pick to get Noah. [/ QUOTE ] I was quoting the above in which Phx gets Minni's pick. The Duncan problem has pretty much been solved. He's a stud...your never going to shut him down. Put KG or KT on him and have Marion double team. |

Re: Official NBA Offseason Thread, 2007/2008 season.
On LA talk radio shows are discussing how Kobe might want to be traded from LA. They are saying that he wants to win more than anyone else in the organization, blah blah, so he might want to get out since he doesn't think their effort matches his. Steven A. Smith talked about it on some ESPN show last week I think.
So, I don't think it will happen, but assuming its a possibility what are some potential trades you could see involving Kobe? I honestly don't see too many, but I don't follow basketball as well as other Sporting Events posters. |

[ QUOTE ]
So if I'm a team like Utah, I look to trade AK47 to fill in the gap at SG. If you're the Nets, and Utah offers you AK47 for Vince, you don't take it? [/ QUOTE ] I was thinking the same thing, but I don't think there is a chance the Jazz make this trade. Larry Miller is too emotionally invested in AK47 (the reason he has the ridiculous contract in the first place), and with how Kirelenko has come through against GS, AK doesn't get run out unless he is the one who initiates it. I also don't see VC as a "Jazz type of guy" - me first guys just don't fit in Sloan's scheme. |

Re: Official NBA Offseason Thread, 2007/2008 season.
Trade the #1 or #2 overall picks + young talent and filler. I don't think any team would move the best player or a top 3 player in the league in his prime if they don't have to though.
Odds are one of the following teams will have the #1 pick: Memphis Milwaukee Boston Atlanta Seattle Of those teams, you could trade, I doubt they would though, the #1 pick and Pau. #1 and Pierce, #1 and Redd, #1 and Josh Smith and filler, #1 and Rashard Lewis. I doubt any team would do it though, especially if they can get Oden or Durant. |

Re: Official NBA Offseason Thread, 2007/2008 season.
Suns could probably get him given they have 3 first round picks + Amare/Diaw/Marion as trade bait

Diaw isn't really trade bait, since he's ridiculously overpaid.

By decent, I mean slightly above average or not bad for a guy who misses 20 games/yr. Here's an exercise. Start ranking power forwards. 30 starters, 15 would be average. |
