Re: Just insane betting.
[ QUOTE ]
You want to hear a bad beat story... 1-2 no limit. Four handed. I hold 6 7, off-suit in the big blind. No raises. The Flop: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]—-giving me the nut straight. I bet $15. The guy to my left raises $15. The guy to his left bets $60. The guy to his left makes it $120. Meanwhile, I’m creaming in my jeans over here, and my hands and wrists are shaking like a dog pooping a peach pit. Normally, I would never exhibit this kind of tell, but I just can’t take it. It's just too perfect. So the action's on me with over $300 in the pot and we haven’t even seen the turn yet. So I push all in, and (get this) all of them call! So we all turn up our cards, and everybody has a pair with some other rag card—-the donkey to my immediate left showing A 4 off suit. A monster! The turn comes to give him a 4, so now he has trips with the best kicker, but I still have him beat. And wouldn’t you know comes an ace on the river giving this donkey a boat, fours over aces. And what’s more, as he takes down his $1,200 pot (one of the biggest I’ve seen in a 1-2 no limit game) he says, “That’s poker, gentlemen.” Man, these donkeys are really starting to bust my balls. Good luck everyone. Cordially, [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Buzzards and Dreadful Crows [/ QUOTE ] Fold pf. |
