You cant tell me he is going to call me with any bit of the gray area of a nits range and at the same time tell me 3betting his UTG raise is just a bad idea.
Those 2 just dont go together, that isnt the same player.

[/ QUOTE ]

Of the five hands you listed (JJ,QQ,KK,AA,AK) if he calls you with ANY of them he is AHEAD of you......sure you have position, but you would be up against a very premium range

[/ QUOTE ]

If villian is tight enough to only raise those 5 hands preflop, he is folding JJ/AK almost everytime IMO.
He might even fold QQ sometimes.

A player with that narrow of a range UTG is not calling a huge 3bet pf with JJ/AK OOP and he probably wont push with those either knowing hes not getting called by anything worse.

I don;t want to speak for Jay, but I assume he is referring to the fact that villains plays 20% of his hands, which isnt a ridic small amount. However he plays a lot of those hands in a passive manner pf (limping/calling riases).

Dno, but hes not nitty enough to not raise/fold to his shove here with all the dead money in the pot.

Hmmm I cant get copy/paste to work on my PStove, but against a range of 1010-AA, AKs, AKo we are ~ 30% to win.

If UTG shoves and all else fold, we are calling $77 to win $207 --> 77/207 = .37 or 37%.

So unless I am doing some math wrong (entirely possbile) or you disagree with my range, I think we have to fold if he shoves.
