Honestly, because i have a tilt problem. I used to play NL 400 on a 3K roll and withdrew my winnings every 4 weeks. Lived off that for almost a year before i went broke.

if you are good then 6k should be plenty for 1/2nl. maybe a little more relatively for 2/4nl due to the fairly sharp increase in skill level. ~16k should be fine, drop down if you get below 12k.

I didn't play nl200 till I had 12k. Going busto a few times with short bankrolls and by taking shots over ur head makes you appreciate being overolled. Moving to 400 full time at 25k.

I know plenty of very good, successful players who have similar if not nittier br ideas as me.

I think it has to do a ton with personal preference. Some people play better where every dollar counts, others like to play with a big fat roll so if they tilt/spew a bit it doesnt hurt at all.

I think 25 BI is fine to move up but I am always willing to move down if I drop some.

i had $12k before i started playing NL200 properly.

Say u have $8k, and want to move up but are unsure. It's probably gonna only take 2 weeks to make the extra $2k at NL100 to get to $10k. why be so rushed?
