Default Re: Oversized Action?

I think the Grand's action is okay on the weekends.
Don't go there too much. Went on a Saturday about a year ago and they had maybe 6 tables going but 2 of them were 2/5 NL and had enough of total-noobs to make the games worthwhile.

Some people coming in from Alabama or Memphis and playing for the first time have no idea that the Horseshoe is kind of considered to be the top-dog poker-room in Tunica.

Remember that the Grand is the first casino you hit when you are driving down from Memphis. And it's going to be the first casino for a lot of people who come in from Alabama if they end up taking I-55 to I-69.
I think that accounts for some of the decent action (and, as expected, I wasn't exactly impressed with the 'regulars' in those games either).

I still think the action is overall a bit better at Horseshoe and Gold Strike. More games = more players = more bad and drunk players.
But it can vary depending on where the worst of the bad players happen to land on a given evening.
