All, the game was actually 2-5 w/ a mandatory straddle at Caesars (las vegas). It's been going every night since last Saturday when RBK and myself started the trend. There has been a few action junkies in the game so it has actually been playing quite big.

I didn't say or do anything when i openened my mouth. I considered offering the dude some money back but decided against that. I didn't apologize right after the hand because nothing i could of said would have made him feel better. I considered apologizing an hour later but decided against it because i didn't want to open a can of worms (he seemed to be over it)...

the fact that you are the type of player who laments their folds says alot about the type of player you aren't.

Your analysis is very informative, thanks!

there's not telling for sure that 88 guy wouldn't have noticed he had the flush had you not said anything...so i wouldn't worry too much about it. it's not like you said, "hey, are you sure you don't have 2 clubs in your hand?"

having said that...i've pretty much learned to keep my mouth totally shut about anything when there's a big pot developing in any poker game, and i'd suggest doing the same.

Yea, it has been a while since i've played omaha and i forgot how important staying quiet is in this game. It's so easy to miss a backdoor flush when you're concentrating on straight or boat outs etc.

I apologize, but there are houses that do have this rule, including mine. That's wtf I'm talking about. Anyway, I still don't see any foul on the part of OP.

[/ QUOTE ]

Then your house sucks. And yes, there is a foul. He f'd up. He should apologize and move on to the next hand.

Cards speak. You're fine.

The people I hate are the ones that point out potential straights and flushes while the hand is on-going. Once the betting is over, cards speak.

The cards dont speak until you table the hand. He didnt table the hand until after Aggie spoke up. He's not fine.

the number of people who can't figure out what happened in this hand is somewhat striking.
