it seemed to me by far, playing tight to start and then reverting to a raising and betting regardless of the board/holecards seems to be the most prevalent strategy used by the most online limit players at those stakes. most aren't skilled to the point that they are bluffing with the perfect frequency to make my calling-station strategy ineffective. so i assumed the games were still beatable at a reasonable click.

Your assessment of the play isn't too far off, but I think 2 BB/100 would be extraordinary in those games. 1-1.5 should be possible for a good player.

I'm getting to the point where I'm comfortable 2-tabling NL, which means that it can't be all that much more difficult. I'm not sure how effectively someone could play 10+ tables of NL, tho.

Because I'm not afraid of getting called when I bet.

Hey everyone, I'm new to your site and trying to get some of your terms down so I have a ????

What are you guys talking about when you say 1BB/100 or 2BB/100? I'm used to figuring my winnings on an hourly basis like 3BB/hour and so on.

Well for starters, I live in AZ and can't play a true no-limit game although the 5-150 spread is as close as it gets...

Where I live right now I can find a daily 2-20 spread limit or an 8/16 limit game. The 8/16 is just a much better game with more action, bigger pots better oppertunities. The 2-20 game can play like a 2-4 game if the tight players are sticking around and the action goes south, I just don't have as much fun. I also don't like the idea of losing my enitre stack if I lose set over set...

That aside, I've always enjoyed NL in a tourny and limit in a ring game. It might be that when I started playing live the NL game at Foxwoods was a much bigger game then the 4/8 and 5/10 I was regularly playing (3-4 years ago)

I know someone who 12 tabled NL for 24 hours straight, and won, just to show he could do it easily. Pretty sick. (i play 6 tables of limit when available, but I doubt I could play more)

Thanks chimpanzepoopdic, that's what I thought but I wasn't sure. What thru me off was the the low low win rate! At 1-2BB/100 I wouldn't even waste my time. When I played online (don't anymore, got boring and hurt my game) I was basically a NL and Sit'n'go player. At the B&M's I play 3/6 and 4/8 LHE and sometimes 1/2 NLHO. If I don't win at least 3 BB per hour it's a bad night. A good night is 7 BB per hour. This translates into between 7BB/100 and 18BB/100.

Is the 1-2BB/100 more of a Online win rate?

LK

BTW, my BJ and the wifes slots really take a chunk. When will I ever learn.

Sure it's a low winrate but it's per TABLE. You can play as many tables as you like and each of those tables will be dealing hands twice as quickly as a B&M.

I play limit because, here in Washington state, there is no NLHE that is easy to get to. I would prefer to play NLHE at the casino, but....
