It's silly that people think that is some kind of an argument. They are merely stating a fact, but they think that because 'anarchist' has such a negative connotation, they think it will make you try to distance from it.

When you oppose govt interference and central planning in a certain area, then you are saying that you want more market anarchy in that area. Maybe you can elighten you girlfriend about the natural order of market anarchy (for example in industries that we already see today, such as ipods, pencils, food, websites, etc).
