Best music so far in 2007

1/3 of the way through the year and I've been going on a crazy music spree the past couple days, so let's talk about the best releases so far this year.

I'm just catching up on the first few months so my list is going to be a little empty, but here's a few of my favorites so far:


LCD Soundsystem - Sounds of Silver

---Saw them live a few weeks ago and it was easily one of the best shows I've been to



Of Montreal - Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer?

---Definitely some weak tracks on here but the good ones are really good. Lots of spots where they remind me of The Beatles, although that's pretty standard for an Of Montreal album.



Modest Mouse - We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank

---Haven't listened to this a ton but since there's not much in my iTunes from 2007 I'll go ahead and put it on her



The Field - From Here We Go to Sublime

---Most people probably won't enjoy this, but for a full house (and especially minimal house, which I don't really even like that much) album this is pretty good.



Arcade Fire - Neon Bible

---Way more complex and musically deeper than Funeral, took me a few more listens than Funeral to enjoy but I like it much better now.
