Well, you probably got outs so you are not folding I think. Will he lead again if you check? Only if you are beat I think; so you may as well shove.

this is live. he is gambling. he'd rather be playing 5-10. You've invested %50 of your stack. Push.

No choice now but to push. Ugly turn, though.

You cannot fold here so push seems best, though i think check call gets the money in good more often. but if he checks behind and a non diamond, cordinated river comes you may have a tougher decision. so yeah, stick it in the middle and gamble

Yeah, why I like a push checkraise better...still, if you really think he'd call a bet that obviously pot commits you with a draw then its a good bet.

His cold call looks like the nuts but oh well. You got outs now, stick it in his bethole.

Villain thinks for about 20-30 seconds and calls.

You forgot the part where Mike bet me $10 that villian would fold. I didn't take the bet. I didn't make $10.

Check raise on flop is ewwwwwww. Just bet out $30 and let him call. Bet $40 on turn and see if Villan reraises.

Thats because villian tanked for 5 minutes before he folded. I played with him for about 2 hours during the Showboatament. He did the same thing.

I also did not think the villian would call a bet that large with just a draw. It appeared obvious that op had a large hand. I figured op had AA or KK if not a set of Jacks.

I'm pretty sure I should have lead the flop too. Too draw heavy.

But as played, was the raise to $100 too small? Should I have just pushed the flop on the check raise and gotten it over with? That seemed like a bit of an overbet and I was only offering him 2:1.

And yeah, the 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] was about the worst card I could have imagined.

Chuck,

Che Guevera would have called you no matter what you bet on the flop.

After he sucked out, he would have said " I put you on AK."
