To clarify, i didn't do any of those things. they were just hyportheticals that i know people have used with out a problem.

It depends on the school. A LOT of kids at Georgia Tech take longer than 4 years. Some of this is because of the very strong co-op program that many people take part in. Another part is how almost all of GT's classes are 3 credit hours and the degrees still require the same amount of total hours.

For instance, to get my ISyE degree at tech it took 38 or 39 classes for 128 hours. My GF took 40 classes, earned 150ish hours and got 2 degrees from Emory.

Do they have labs also in the 3 hours or are they like an additional 1 hour?

Labs are 4 and at least the intro math classes are 4 because they meet 5 days a week.

I'm taking an extra semester as well so I can align my graduation with a job that I hope to get.
