Re: working on my omaha game
What hands does he have that doesn't lead?
If you bet the turn, you avoid this dilemma. Did you miss a turn bet? |

Re: working on my omaha game
[ QUOTE ]
You have trip tens here. - are you trying to make one of those strassa statements saying that my boat is now only a bluff catcher and has the same value as trip tens or a flush that only beats a bluff...if so I agree but I really do have a boat, maybe you misread it. Any chance someone checkraises K3 on river? [/ QUOTE ] ehh.. is this not a good spot to bluff anyhow? |

Re: working on my omaha game
Please ignore the post count, I have lurked for a long time.
I agree that your hand is pretty transparently NOT KK or 33, so that KT can be played like the nuts from the villain's perspective. He easily could have started the hand with something like KxQsTx9s and flopped the 2nd nut flush and top 2. The turn would be one of the last cards that he'd want to see but the river solved his problems as he now has the 3rd nuts and the way the hand has gone down, it looks like you're not holding the 1st or 2nd nuts. There's obviously no value in reraising here but I think folding is too weak. |

Re: working on my omaha game
this is a really good spot to c/r bluff in villian's eyes for obvious reasons so call.

Re: working on my omaha game
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] The flip side to this is that there really aren't many hands containing 33 that are worth playing, and a lot of KK hands would have raised pre. [/ QUOTE ] I don't agree with either of these. [/ QUOTE ] KOD is right. I can think of a ton of reasons not to raise KKxx preflop, in fact, a lot of times I fold KKxx preflop. And there's a ton of 33xx hands that are playable. Wait a minute. What [censored] forum is this? meh. anyways, just to name a few- 3345 2334 AA33 A233 A334 A335 and KK that im folding pre; KK27 KK28 KK39 KK24 KK25 KK49 etc, etc KK hands i might just limp/call with KKJ9 KK910 KKQ9 KK99 KK1010 KKA5 etc, etc also, grim, easy call. your hand looks like a flush that played the turn for pot control, then value bet the river (b/c most of the times a double paired board doesnt have a FH as often as a paired board). this is an uber easy call. but it's just a call- b/c it's unlikely you're getting called if you raise (asuming you're decently deep) by anything you beat. i'd expect to see a better hand fairly often, but not often enough to ever justify folding. also, 25-50 is too big for your game. i was playing 5-10 with you last month on FT and there's no way anyone could go from 5-10 to 25-50 that fast. but i guess that's why you are who you are. Re: working on my omaha game
this is one of those spots where he either has it or he doesn't.
This is also one of those spots where he is least likely to be bluffing. Fold and I wouldn't think twice about it. Your only hope is the small chance he has the same hand + the small chance he is bluffing, which compared to your odds make this a losing call. Also I would bet the turn here. The hand you actually mright want to check behind with here is KK with the lone A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. |

Re: working on my omaha game
i play any KK hand before i play 3345,A332 and similar hands. With a hand like 3345 the flop must come down exactly A23 for you to really like your hand, I do play them in good position though but folding any hand with KK while playing 3345 doesnt make sense.

Re: working on my omaha game
Great spot for him to turn a smaller flush into a bluff and checkraise you so im not gonna think too long about calling here. Its possible to fold in some situations fearing overfull and to a lesser extent 3333. KT for a slit pot shouldnt be calling the flop but might call if you are playing very aggresively or he has a flush to go with top two.
