I dont see how....the next person could easily go 2 which would lead to the sequence of 1,2,3,4 but even if contestant b and c make actaul guesses player D has to go with 2? am i wrong here and just not seeing why?

I guess B and C could lead out with obvioiusly low bids, not 2 or 3, and D may go with the higher of B or C+1. But then you're still going to be covered unless someone else bids low, and thus you likely don't win.

Opening with $1 I think is retarded, but not as retarded as most of the other retard moves.
