fold preflop - cos position sucks as does our image.

We are raising to win the pot on a later street by CBing the flop or floating the turn.

This is less likely cos now we are "the guy that raised A6 zomg" and are likely to get more than on caller. So unless we hit hard later streets are unlikely to be "bluffable"

However if we do hit hard and stack someone our image is now gold. 76s is the best suited connector there is so raising isn't all that bad.

Almost any good player will raise this occasionally for deception. Most good players will fold it most of the time, although some I'm sure raise it 100%. (LOL at the 6+BB option. Is that a Pokey thing?)

most of the time fold but if played imo UTG it should be raised.

1.if u get to flop HU or with only a few players they cant put you on your hand they put you on some big facecards or a big pair.

2.to take the pot down @ the flop with a cbet.If they miss the flop they def. fold!If they dont fold u know they got something.

The thing you have to realize about 76s OOP is that it's usually a bluff. You just don't know when -- preflop or on the flop. In either case however, in order for a bluff to work they have to fold. The way you've described your image here, that seems like it's not going to happen. So trite as it may seem, given your image and your position you should fold preflop.

That said, I will try to nurture an image that doesn't force me to fold 76s UTG preflop. That image is best described as 'dangerous.'

(2) As deception
Uh you already donked off a lot of your stack earlier. You didn't mention playing extremely loose or tight, and for that matter its the 2nd orbit you've been playing. You haven't even established an image yet, so how are you going to be deceptive without one? I honestly just don't get this reason.

[/ QUOTE ]

I would think deception refers to the nature of this hand, as 67s probably isn't usually assigned to an UTG raisers range. This would allow us to win a larger pot when we hit a big hand as it will be 'hidden', and give us more FE when we bet out hard with a strong draw.

The first argument is probably pretty invalid at 25NL, as 90% of players don't bother thinking about what other people hold. The second argument is the most relevant one.

[/ QUOTE ]

bla bla bla yeah sure TAGS automatically assign a tight range to anyone raising UTG. However you don't know the makeup of your table yet, you've only played one orbit. Against TAGS with a TAG image raising here I can see to be +EV because you have huge fold equity, but versus fish who don't know the difference I just don't get it. Your basically isolating the fish with 7 high to play a pot OOP. Barf.....

I raise this 50% fold 50% dependent on the flow of the game, and mainly if people are folding to cbets.

(ie) - i dont do it on party 25nl and 50nl, but defiantely at Full Tilt!

Odds of flopping are 25% to preceed with the hand.

Normally i only do this when im a bit deeper and i got a deeper loose villain. 125BB+
