If you can't confront him or have a quiet word, just say, 'Wow, someone's a bit ripe,' or other similar euphemism and see what happens.

That way you are drawing attention to it but not singling him out.

Bring a deoderant stick to the game and try to stick it to him

or better yet: when you call his all in, toss the deodorant in the pot and muck.

This link is the answer you seek, Grasshopper: http://news.thomasnet.com/fullstory/452208/47

And I may just order some of this stuff myself. There is a guy I play with sometimes that is seriously about the worst smelling person I have ever...smelt.

Odor Screen olfactory pereception-altering compound is suited for workers exposed to offensive odors. Vanilla-scented gel, placed above upper lip, remains potent for ~2 hr, allowing pleasant or hazardous odors to be accurately identified. It works to block out stenches that potentially affect performance and psychological well-being, including burned or decomposing flesh, infected wounds, vomitus, and other bodily fluids and tissues.

Just placed my order here:

If it works, well worth $60+shipping! lol...sad but true. The smelly guy sucks at poker btw, so he's basically paid for it. Why NOT have something this handy as my disposal for the low low price of $60?!

FYI - I just found this out this past weekend...

The little foil packets Odor Screen comes in will cause airport security to inspect your carryon bag - they show up in the airport x-ray. They let me keep it (only had 2 packets), I told them it was nasal stuff which it is - but you may want to put it in checked bags.
