FWIW i think you (the OP) [censored] up. 5 on top 1 on the sides cuts the whole top at a 5. You really need to say 'and leave the bangs'. She didn't make a mistake but whoever put the notes in the computer may have.

They take a #1 on the sides and fade it up into a number 5 on top where they leave it just a tad longer in the very front for the bangs.

If you're the secondary account of an old poster: give it a rest.

If you're just a relatively new user who decided to grace OOT with 80 or so posts in the last 4 days: knock it off.

My hair is pretty much a half inch everywhere and a little more on top than at the sides and very back. So this guy has very short sides and veyr long hair at the front and top?

He has a 1 on the sides, very short hair. he has a 5 on the top and sides near the top, so semi-short hair. In the front part of his head, the part over your forehead, the bangs, he has longer hair than the 5 areas for spiking. I don't know him in real life, and don't really care to, but this is the picture I got from his posts.
