Re: 50NL - how to play my set
[ QUOTE ]
Call the C/R, don't agree with pushing here [/ QUOTE ] I agree. There's nothing wrong with pushing here as you'll often get a call but I think that a flat call here will yeild you more, because he may put YOU on the draw and bet again on the turn. Given that the board is monotone, he cant have the FD so he either has a one card SD or some funky two pair. Point is you are killing him and he may be willing to bet again. If checked to on the turn I would probably open shove as this would look like the draw too. What you want to to is represent a weaker hand versus his range, and I think that getting AI on this flop is too strong. |

Dont give him the information he is looking for (i.e. you are beat). |

A shove on this flop is basically allowing villain to play perfectly because we are basically screaming in his ear that we have a set. But a call by us here can be many hands and flips our range on its head, because he likely knows not much about us (ie. what kind of hands we'll flat call this raise with) so he can't pin us to a hand. |

Re: 50NL - how to play my set
Ok thanks a lot for the replies.
Quick question for you : if the board was 7 9T rainbow and I had TT, do you play it the same : call flop, RAI on turn, or you play it the way I played the hand? |
