How do you know this? I've read what Stars says about their "shuffling," but what I've read is ambiguous. Are you getting this from some other source than the Stars site?

Is it different that this?:

The scenario I outlined concerned the "continuous shuffle"
I don't have any statistics. (The RNG code is secret and changes frequently) The question is do the cards dealt by a particular poker site approximate randomness? I'm not certain, but I believe if you have pokertracker, you can determine if the occurrence of pocker pairs, 3 flush flops, hitting a set on the flop, etc. approximates natural randomness.

One quick test---Over the long run, are you being dealt pocket pairs 5.88% of the time?

OP,

Most of the online poker rooms explain how the shuffle works on their websites.

For example, here is Party's explanation:

http://www.partypoker.com/how_to_pla...e/shuffle.html

Summary: the deck is shuffled, cards are dealt, and reshuffled when the hand is over.

Yes, but it's an "e-burn."

PokerStars does not use a burn card. You can get this information (and that regarding the shuffle) from support@pokerstars.com

If the Full Tilt post is true, then now I know why I do not play there anymore. The proper procedure is Party Poker and Poker Stars shuffling. Cards should not be reshuffled after the deal; only before the deal.

Only when the dealer turns up the turn or river card too quickly before all action is completed. Then the card should be re-inserted into the remaining stub, shuffled, and a new turn or river card exposed.

I can't believe people get their panties in a wad over whether an Internet site freakin burns their cards. Come on people, wake and realize that as long as they use a random process, IT DOESN'T MATTER!!!

Sheeesh.
