Im a decent player [/ QUOTE ] Pro Very Good Good Above Average Average Below Average Poor Bad Sucker From the word "decent," I take it to mean that you don't swear while playing poker. From your comments regarging losing and BR management you are clearly a Poor player. |

Re: Dealing with losing
Ok here is a kinder analogy.
I got decent grades in grade 9 high school. Then I skipped grade 10,11,12, Universtiy Undergraduate years and went straight to a Masters Degree and flunked out. For some "real" feedback. start again and don't move up until you are a "very good player" at the limit you are at.. then move ONE step up. (ie. go back to high school) Unfortunately proper BRM would tell you to play at a level where you have 20 buy ins. (or +300BB for limit) with 1k BR you should be at 25c - 50cNL or $50 buy ins. If you do not have the patience to beat every level starting at micro limits with a $100BR you will lose your BR every time to variance. As far as being ok, you could work on all of the following sections for poker. BRM/Paitence/Tilt/Table Selection/Recognizing the quality of your opponents. (if you think you are good at poker post a Difficult hand you had to play in the appropriate NL section and your thought process. Ask for comments. If you have fear of being flamed by Jhonny Storm, then just read other posters Hand histories and see how your play would compare to others "take" on the hand. It is like taking some grade 10, 11 and 12 quizzes with no penalty for getting it wrong. |
