Al,

I'm pretty sure Penn State is the Ivy. We've been through this one before.

Princeton
Penn(not state)
Yale

Ray Zee told me not to use google. You destroyed a conference today, bottomset. That's all you did, you destroyed an athletic conference.

Coming from a well off household and going to Yale gives their flag burning more credence. I don't agree with it, but its definitely not confusing.

My thoughts: Most misleading headline of the week? They weren't arrested for flag burning. They were arrested for reckless endangerment and arson.

[/ QUOTE ]

well, they were arrested for burning the flag which is the act they committed. they were charged w/ the crimes you listed.

the courts are making it an offense w/out it actually being illegal.

They were arrested for burning property that didnt belong to them, the fact that it was a flag really has no bearing other than the fact that the news article decided to word it like that.

You can sympathize for a poor citizen protesting the U.S. but not a well off one?

I'd like to know why a judge denied their bail. That seems like BS for these offenses.

I will never understand all this hub-bub over Flag burning.

If I buy a jock strap, or a lawn mower, or an American flag, it is mine to with as I see fit. If that includes burning, so be it.

There is no such thing as the "American Flag." You can't burn an ideal. It's a piece of cloth, period.

I understand why some people are offended by others burning a symbol of America, but guess what? It ain't against the law to offend people.

Yet.
