Re: Top two in blind battle on dangerous board - raise river?
If you've been really beating on/tilting him, make it 80 on the river and fold to shove obv. Esp given your turn check. If you don't think he's going to make a loose call, call. I usually bet turn fwiw.

Re: Top two in blind battle on dangerous board - raise river?
I think raising to 60ish and folding to a raise is good.
I can see plenty of worse hands that call here and would play this way with a 24/2. BTW, I would much prefer betting the turn as well, pretty sure he's not folding a Q here. Fold to a raise obviously with his stats. |

I'm betting the turn. There are absolutly tonnes of worse hands that will call here and if he check-raises we have a simple fold. [/ QUOTE ] You bet 60(?) on the turn, you gonna fold for 70 more getting nrly 4-1. Even against a passive guy thats a pretty ugly spot to get into. Bet/fold is more attractive if villain starts the hand w/ a full stack. Paul |

Re: Top two in blind battle on dangerous board - raise river?
Good point 2Paul
Also villain only has $100 on the riv so bet/folding riv isnt really a great option? |

Re: Top two in blind battle on dangerous board - raise river?
Something to consider. Would a player with a made hand who presumably missed his turn check raise really try to get this little value on the river?

Re: Top two in blind battle on dangerous board - raise river?
I don't understand how you can't bet the turn. It seems like a fairly standard B/F to me, $50-$60.
I call river as well. |

Soda,
I like when people bust out an entire elaborate train of thought in a post. Thank you. |

A draw is such a large part of his range. I don't know how you can raise this river, just call.

Re: Top two in blind battle on dangerous board - raise river?
I still don't see why we're checking this turn. Just because it's awkward stack sizes doesn't seem like a good reason. I want to keep betting vs his AQ,KQ,flush/straight draw letting him think we're hanging ourself. On river it's more likely he thinks we have air or weak pair and is just trying to milk value w/ one pair (or busted draw). Just because his agg factor is low doesn't mean he won't c/raise a worse hand on turn. He'll more than likely be making a stand. I dunno, I have no problem getting it in here.
As played, calling river is best imo. |

[/ QUOTE ] villain could have flopped huge and then turned into a wuss when the heart showed up on the turn. i think a raise is just too thin to justify. |
