You guys who think Tang is some great player are costing yourselves a lot of money.

She is robbing you blind

Then she is a great player.

[/ QUOTE ]

Tang is a decent player, better than the average in the game. She has standards and pays attention to what's going on. She has control of herself and some card sense. This is enough to make her a winner. She also has a good image in the game. Perhaps most importantly she has that one TREMENDOUS advantage of being a woman. So many men will not/can not give a woman credit or simply 'refuse' to let a woman beat them that she gets too much action.

She's not some savant/killer-genius player (but then how many of us really are) but she's good enough to beat the game.

[/ QUOTE ]

I couldn't have said it better.

I prefer not to discuss specific players' tendencies on here without some very good reason, but I think Tang not only has a solid game but adjusts to the 20-40 very well.

Unless I'm mistaken Tang has far more than "some card sense."

Nate:

When I say 'some card sense' about anybody it's a big compliment.

You're also probably right about not mentioning names. In future I'll handle that between ourselves by PM.

HB --

I don't think anything wildly inappropriate is going on in this thread -- it's just that I'd rather not, for obvious reasons, get into great detail about why I think she's playing so well in the 20 game.

The fact that it's Tang makes a big difference in how to play this river, so I think it's appropriate that it was mentioned in the OP, because a few people here have logged many hours with her.

Off to California,

I feel left out since I quit the 20 game until June to clear my head...

Let's try the Gila 15 again. I think I'll be there this Friday if I'm free.
