So long ago I can't remember, but the post included information like:

He's a respected member of the local poker community He does coaching at his house where his students log onto their FTP account at his computer (I believe this was #1). Taking cash money from friends/students and transferring them money on FTP, and basically being the "bank" in his town for FTP. Multiple accounts at the same time from the same IP, sometimes at the same table. Letting friends use his account. Stuff like that.

[/ QUOTE ]

What the [censored] ever. A "respected" member of the poker community would know better than to knowingly engage in suspicious fund transfers.

Imagine the kind of [censored] storm that such activity would raise should Barney Frank's regulation act pass.

Can someone give some quick cliff notes on OP's original post? What were reasons 1,2,3 and 4 that they may have suspended his account?

Just the usual stuff when you are running a bunch of bots/sweatshop. Transfering money back and forth to about 35 accounts, "friends" using your computer, you using the same "friends" computers, multiple accounts using the same IP, sometimes "accidently" sitting at the same tables, etc.
You know, the usual casual user stuff that for whatever unknown reasons sets off flags with the sites.

The pathetic and shocking thing is that none of this stuff was actually flagged by FTP!!

It took another poker player's amazing detective work to point it out to them. And only then did they do some supposed investigation, presumably found all these suspicions signs that you mentioned, and then decided to do nothing about it.

Who called them out the first time? I must have missed that.

EDIT: Never mind, I'm an idiot. That thread was so friggin long I forgot how it started...didn't realize it was Trebek that got them investigated in the first place, I thought that was afterwards.
