Re: Movies that you love but got terrible reviews
WOW. Master of Disguise got a 2% rating. I wouldn't say I loved it, but I don't think it warranted a 2.

Re: Movies that you love but got terrible reviews
ok, so i went through the whole top 100 worst reviewed movies of all time list, and i've only seen 2 of those movies. I feel pretty good (i watch a LOT of movies)
the following isn't a list of great movies, but movies I really liked that i felt were bashed on unfairly. blast from the past (54%) The Beach (19%) both brendan frasier and Leo are underrated and bashed cuz chicks think they are cute. both have proven to be decent actors... leo much more than brendan... Life as a House 47% Kevin Kline is a great actor, and does an amazing job in this movie. I love great movies about fatherhood. sleepaway camp II (n/a) i love tongue in cheek horror, and when i first saw this, there were enough boobs and sex jokes to stick it in my memory forever (i was like 14 and that's just what i wanted) spanglish (52%) i don't think reviewers got this movie. adam sandler is becoming the jimmy stewart of our generation. natural born killers (48%) pulp fiction has since made us forget how ground breaking and awesome this movie was. one of the great soundtracks of all time, and woody harrelson has never been better. american psycho (65%) i don't even know how this is this high on the tomatometer, it was bashed nonstop when it came out. either way, I thought it was genius and while it wouldn't make my top 50, it would either be in my top 100, or close. how to be a player (14%) Ladies Man (12%) UHF (56%) mallrats (49%) clearly my concept of comedy does not jive with the critics. this does not suprise me. |

Re: Movies that you love but got terrible reviews
Van Wilder 2: The Rise of Taj
I thought it was actually an incredibly well put together comedy. 2.4/10 on IMDB... 70th worst movie there. |

Re: Movies that you love but got terrible reviews
I just went thru the list of 100 worst reviewed on rottentomatoes to see which movies I have seen/own. Here are the tabulations:
Movies I have ACTUALLY sat/fell asleep thru- 24 out of 100 -Of said movies, the ones I ACTUALLY own (in 1 way or another )- 20 out of 100 Consensus: I think one list is too long, and the other list is WAY too long. Only 2 of those 24 movies I would actually watch again if I came across them clickin thru the channels: The Wash- 8% and The New Guy- 7% (I luv that Eliza Dushku) I will never put up any real energy to watch ANY of these movies again (i.e. actually putting in the DVD) I think this is why I don't watch many movies anymores, but its w/e. The last movie I saw was X-Men: The Last Stand- 57% which I enjoyed. Lotta ppl didn't like that 1 but every1 went to go see it it seems. |

Re: Movies that you love but got terrible reviews
I'm not sure if people know how these scores are calculated. They're just a percentage of positive reviews.
