I might check the flop, it's not like he has QJ or lots of club draws here ever. You likely have villain drawing to 2 outs, and if he called with AK and is confused then he might stick it in if checked to but have a tough time calling a flop shove.

Is there a particular reason that you decided to just call the initial raise? Was this guy squeezing a lot? since you got the raise NH, but you could have gotten yourself into a pretty bad spot here. I think the way the hand went down, pushing the flop is the least "scary" play you could make. You are trying to make it look like you are frustrated or something, if you check, hes going to be so confused at that point that it is less likely he would bet the flop.
