Joker - shame about USC (though good for my bracket). If they both got there, USC-UCLA would've been awesome for LA.

MicroBob,
It doesn't bother me when unknowns do well, it bothers me that this guy took me strategy which I didn't use because I didn't want to be a nit.

I wasn't making any assumptions on what bothered you or didn't bother you.
I was just reminded of the funny time my sister, who knows zero about basketball, won a pool by picking her favorite animals.

I do not understand wtf is with all the teams like UNC taking 3s when they have the last shot in a tied game. I swear ive seen it at least 5 times in this tourney and it makes absolutely no sense.

I don't think the play was drawn up specifically for a 3. But he did get an open look and took a decent shot. I agree they should have gone down low, but it's not like they thought they had to shoot some desperation 3. It was a top of the key jumper that had a reasonable chance of nailing the game.

NL,

WOW WHAT A COMEBACK!!!!!!!!! What a game.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. I assume they just are going for the best open look and find it easier to get a good look from there. But it seems like driving or trying to pass it down low with three seconds left would be a higher percentage play.

Wow. What a game by Georgetown and what a collapse by NC.

that was a great game, especially since I'm a big east guy.

what standard brackets this year. I have 3/4 Final Four teams, and still have a chance at Florida over GTown in the championship game, but the highest I can finish in my pool is 4th (out of 70). normally that success rate is good enough to win I think, this year it's out of the money

Can someone please explain to me yhy, with approx. 2 sec. left, given the choice of throwing a short inbound or baseballing it down the court--I've now seen like 10 teams go for the short pass and half-court shot? Brilliant. (Gtown in this case.)

Also KU and NC both lost do to advanced Shottenheimeritis. Any team from within about 150 mile radius of anywhere Marty coached, or any coach who spent time in the same vicinity, will never win. I know NC won, but it hadn't advanced enough in Roy yet. And the location vector is stronger. Cleveland, KC, Washington and SD will never win another championship in anything. And I'm pretty sure it spread to Seattle when like 6 of my KC friends moved there. Although, I'm not sure if the disease dies with Shottenheimer. So we can always hope.

Oh yeah, if anyone hasn't see this yet - one of the most exciting finishes I've ever seen.

If only it could have been Truman State.

Ship gtown to the Final Four. Students marched to the White House tonight to celebrate (20+blocks) before being bounced by Capitol Police and then escorted back to campus by Metro. Also, some Rugby player got arrested for trying to steal a chair from Starbucks on the way back.

And to answer your question suzzer, I believe some of it has to do with the fact that it's really easy to baseball the ball out of bounds without anyone touching it, at which point the opposing team would get the ball under your bucket (not where it went out).

Hoya Saxa. That was bizarre- North Carolina is normally the team that you're afraid of when you have them down, and you need to drive a stake through their heart to make sure they're dead. The way they tanked would have been terrible for any random team, but to have North Carolina collapse like that is nearly unbelievable. After having watched Georgetown for 20+ years, what's also bizarre is a Geogetown team that's deadly from long range and can knock down their free throws. Oh, and plays so soft they get 20 fewer FT attempts, WTF was up with that, ref?
