What you do while driving

I drive, been in one accident when I was younger, learned my lesson. Now the most Ill do is listen to podcasts and smoke a cigar.

I mostly question the sexuality of people driving slower than me. Yell a lot and sing/rap.

I pay very good attention when I am driving. Try to have at least two outs at all times. Anticipate what other drivers will do. Check my surrondings including blindspots constantly. I spend so much effort doing these things that I find hard to keep a conversation going with passengers.

With that being said, every car on the road has a big number painted on the side and we are all in a race. I try to always be the fastest car when under the speed limit and the second fastest car when I am over the speed limit. Second to avoid any tickets.

I have had one accident a long time ago when I saw an opening to get by a semi blocking 5 out of 6 lanes of an entire road. Unfortunately, another car was making a left hand turn into the adjacent driveway that the semi was trying to back into. Make sure you speed doesn't exceed your vision.

Yes, I do eat and talk on the phone as well. No make up, though. The reading and Su Doku I try to limit to stoplights, but I do catch myself occasionally filling in numbers on the expressway. OCD, I guess. Sometimes it's scary to look up at traffic and wonder how long it's been between glances. I've been driving for 16 years and caused no accidents (that I'm aware of), so I think it's something a person can handle with practice.

Ok, some people, my wife for example should NOT have a phone in the car. Imagine driving a minivan in the carpool lane at about 85, talking on the phone and taping the accelerator in a repetitive motion(try it sometime and see if you dont get motion sickness)
