Re: SA/SB IP, turn play?
I'm way too hungover. That didn't make any sense. I would bet the turn fwiw.

[ QUOTE ] he played the hand pretty much perfectly? i would have played it how he played it anyway [/ QUOTE ] Against a maniac you're calling down second pair from the flop? (The preflop call with Q7o is ok, I guess, but I sure as hell don't love it.) [/ QUOTE ] what would you have done differently? im not that crazy.... |

Re: SA/SB IP, turn play?
If you're a maniac you should be more inclined to bet though it's honestly really really close. He'll have a draw some % of the time but a lot of his draws are paired; however he'll also be calling down with Ace high a lot incorrectly if he thinks you're retarded so it's ok to bet the turn in that instance, since he usually won't bluff the river with Ax but will often call.
Very close spot though. Rob |

Re: SA/SB IP, turn play?
Grunch
I'd say since the pot is small (only 4 BB) I'd check the turn. If he has a bigger pair, than this play makes his check more incorrect due to TFTOP. If you bet and he CRs the turn with a bigger pair, it's not terrible for us but it's more correct than a donk and a call(he'll basically be making us pay 3-1 for the flush draw which isnt profitable without the pair, with it it is though). However if he has air/draw, a lot of his outs are counterfited due to the FD. Granted your pair is vulnerable to overcards, but the pot isnt big and you dont have reads. Please tell me if my logic is flawed here. So in short I'd check the turn CMR |
