As cruel as this was to the girl, I'd bet that this dog was one of those untrained, serial leg-humping menaces that barked at everything forever, crapped in neighbors yards, dug up their plants, stole food off the table, and constantly tried to jump up on people and lick their faces.
Getting a dog, not training it, then exposing everyone else to the burden of dealing with the little terror seems to be extremely popular with girls these days. I've come very close to decapitating a few of their dogs myself.
