If it is an obvious newbie then I give them the benefit of one instructional tip to protect their cards better, but then it's radar to the felt.

You know, if you wore sunglasses, you'd be able to look at peoples' cards much easier...

I guess I'm a scumbag too. I was playing a few weeks ago and this guy that was sitting across the table from me was shuffling his two cards every time he was in a hand and I could see his cards every time. Although he was wearing suglasses and listening to music on an ipod so I didn't feel as sorry for him.

On a side note, and I'm sure this has been discussed before - I'm sorry if I'm offending anyone here, but if you wear the whole sunglasses and ipod deal playing 1-2NL at some random cardroom then you are a TOOL...

[/ QUOTE ]

Why is that? If someone plays 1/2, listens to an ipod and wears sunglasses he is a tool? Is it cuz everyone on here says this and you want to be cool and agree ?

What if this person doesn't like to be bored while he folds a bunch of hands and doesn't wanna talk to the people at the table? What if the casino he plays in is a lot brighter than his room where he plays online poker in the dark and it hurts his eyes? Still a tool?

Last time I checked, poker wasn't a team sport...I'm sure they'll learn.

Yes, you are still a tool and everyone is laughing at you behind your back. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

Seriously, if someone is that dumb and doesn't know to keep other players from seeing their hand, they probably won't be playing live poker for very long because they will soon be broke.

I agree with kindly letting them know ONCE to protect their hand, but after that they become fair game.
