yeah i think i was reading in some article the other day that there's no real diversification benefit because of globalization...

I think we are going to have a global meltdown. I am not a perma-bear, just a bear at the moment. Been shorting mortgage stocks the past few days. Been short on the las vegas gaming stocks; current recession should put a dent in their earnings. The stocks are taking a nice beating.

i was under the impression that casinos actually do BETTER in times of recession?

PRETTY sure casinos are positively correlated with economy performance
