[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] three tons of weed is not worth 20 mil [/ QUOTE ] 16oz=1pound 2000pounds=1 ton assumming an oz cost $400, then: 16x2000x3x$400=38.4million. is my math wrong or it wasnt very good stuff. [/ QUOTE ]why would an O cost $400? You prolly buy it on street for under $280. Since we are dealing w/ mass quantities, I would imagine that, the price for an O would be under or around $140 [/ QUOTE ] The guys transporting a couple tons of drugs arent selling it by the O. There is a lot of middle men involved, they are probably selling a couple hundred lbs at a time to various dudes, who then sell it by the pound to other dudes, who then sell it by the OZ to college kids. Each middle man tacks on money so they can make money. |

But here in the bay area (California), my friends and I would frequently get ounces for no more than 250$ when we were in high school (few years ago). It would never be amazing stuff, but it was never schwag either, just average stuff. of course it was for medical purposes... so we were breaking no laws |

They make a wholesale bust and then report on the $$ value in a sneaky and disingenuous manner like this as one of their many propaganda tactics. |

Maybe if it was up in Humboldt/Mendocino it could be the goods, but then I'd still bet it was Beasters headed down, which would up the price noticeably, maybe around 2k per lb. before hitting the market and raising the price. |
