You are missing moving money around from site to site to take advantage of bonus and getting charged vig on every in/out transaction.

You are also missing that the f/x rates that PP gives are close to robbery.

[ QUOTE ] I'm pretty sure you can open a $ account at most major European banks, at least I can in Holland. Nothing wrong with bitchin though when it comes to corporate greed. [/ QUOTE ] Thats great but then pretty much any other way of transfering $ to < > is going to have similar fx charges/spreads. Unless you want to spend money in $ in online shops or abroad etc i cant see why its useful. Or ami missing something? [/ QUOTE ] I would think that you are right, but it's good to know that it can be done anyway though I agree that it's probably not relevant as a solution to partypoker f/x charges, I think neteller and just perhaps player power(I live in hope ) is perhaps the only way to go. |

[/ QUOTE ] What bank do you use, and can you transfer money to/from poker sites for free? I opened an account in dollars at ABN and got hit with transfer fees from both Party and ABN on a cashout. |

What a scoop [/ QUOTE ] This is obviously so true, I tell people how they are screwing us over big time here in Europe, and then get people like Enter Pin lamenting that their not getting there a-h filled by party no more. Man there is no hope for the human race |

If you are in the UK, bank with Nationwide. They don't have any Forex fee when purchasing in a foreign currency with their cards. So next time just buy $ at Party, and no vig. Enjoy!

[/ QUOTE ] I thought i made it clear in my post and since , the fee is a partypoker fee and has got nothing to do with the bank. |

[ QUOTE ]
Here's what MikeO/Party communicated in late January: [ QUOTE ] We (PartyGaming products) have multi-currency coming out soon, but for the most part poker will remain $USD. Breaking up the players into different currencies in poker would just dilute the games. So for now we will stick with one currency, and our super sleuth research has identified the $USD as the most recognized and trusted currency in the world. [/ QUOTE ] A cynic might conclude, however, that Party does business in a currency native to NONE of its customers for the express purpose of collecting currency exchange vig in and (if you're fortunate) out, and that any dilution incurred would only impact Party Gaming's bottomless bottom line. The gentleman has also promised, publicly and privately, that bonuses will soon be extended to SNG players. The strong shall remain silent 'til they see... [/ QUOTE ] Yeah! Lets turn the games into Euros and Pounds Sterling! That way we save 2% currency exchange... and pay 130% or 200% the rake. Ill make a form email requesting the change that all 2+2 can send. |
