ALL: It is the button that 4bets here and not the initial raiser. They have already folded. Does that change any of your views?

Am I missing something? From the FAQ: 3-bet - a bet, a raise, and then another raise. The third action is a 3-bet.

Why are we all calling this a 4bet?

The first "bet" is a limp(calling the BB), a raise of the BB is a 2-bet, and a re-raise is a 3-bet. In this example when UTG open raises, he's 2-betting; and we've 3-bet him.

u can smooth call and check call or start 1/4 pot betting every street, this gives a retarded qq,ak or other retard hands that show up a chance to make mistakes.
are you goin to fold, hellllll no, no one folds kk preflop, and if they do, the also do other dumb things for me to rape.

remember he still could have kk, and some villians for whatever reason make this bet with a worse hand than yours and then fold to a pushLOL.

[/ QUOTE ]

He pushed and the guy had AA. I think never folding KK preflop is at worst a small leak. Ever folding KK preflop without a read is a huge leak.

On a semantics note, a raise is a second bet, no matter the context. A reraise is a third bet, and a re-reraise is a fourth bet. In limit we call that a cap. The number of times on this forum I've seen someone bet a flop heads up and get reraised makes my head spin.

Here is the only time I've laid KK preflop in a cash game. It should be extremely seldom obviously. Both UTG and UTG+1 were below 5 pfr over hundreds of hands.

Full Tilt Poker
$0.50/$1 No Limit Hold'em Ring Game
7 Players
LegoPoker Hand Converter

Stack Sizes
MP: $63.35
CO: $39
Hero (BTN): $106.70
SB: $123.05
BB: $97.15
UTG: $49.75
UTG+1: $100.95

CO posts 1
Preflop: K K ($2.5, 7 players)
UTG raises to $5, UTG+1 raises to $15, MP folds, CO folds, Hero folds, SB folds, BB folds, UTG calls $10

Flop: 2 8 T ($32.5, 2 players)
UTG checks, UTG+1 bets $20, UTG calls $20

Turn: 2 8 T [T] ($72.5, 2 players)
UTG bets all in for $14.75, UTG+1 calls $14.75

River: 2 8 T T [8] ($102, 2 players)
No action

Results:
UTG had J J (two pair, Jacks and Tens)
UTG+1 had A A (two pair, Aces and Tens) and won $99
Final Pot: $99.00 ($3.00 rake)
