Or maybe missed the "brag" part of BBV, which is the perfect venue for this not-even-thinly disguised "I r00lz, u sux0rz" post.

[/ QUOTE ]

nice try--are you trolls related. The post is in response to all of the idiotic whiny "poker is hard now" posts.

cheers

Well, then it sounds like the post would be a fitting reply to one of those threads, no?

Or is posting your counterargument to another thread's thesis within that very thread "harder now?"

As a standalone post, this perfectly fits BBV, because it comes off as "I am awesome and you pokertracker dorks suck" content.

Enjoy!

I was thinking the same thing. In case you care, I suspect the reason you're getting such negative responses is the lack of context. Why not post this IN one of those "whiny threads"?

Talk to me when they post the videos w/ sessions that involve set over set, every draw missed, top pair shoving turn and getting outdrawn by a terrible luckbox.

[/ QUOTE ]

So you're saying if I find a table where I can shove the turn with TP, and always get called by worse hands, that this is bad for my bottom line? How?

You are confusing variance with profitability. If you are actively leaving tables with lots of "luckboxes" that call your turn shoves with worse hands, then maybe that explains why you think poker has gotten harder, and you can't find any fish.

a nice pithy response...in post UIGEA, most hud bots do not have that kind of edge over their opponents-thus a moot point..if they did then why all the crying.

cheers

Myself I have never gotten to 12+ tables, but I maitained 6 for a long time just because I felt that was the max I could pay attention to without missing to many bets. Yes the game has changed IMO. So I have dropped to 4 tables and have made more money then when I was playing 6 tables. I am not missing as many steal opportunties and 3bets I used too.
Of course back when the fish pop was higher, it was no biggie, but the are less mistakes made by others now so I have to change my style.

I think adapation needs to be done and I have. The winners will always adapt.

If HUD bots become the 2007 fish at medium/small stakes, I will consider poker officially dead.

It doesn't have to be unprofitable, it just has to be not profitable enough to be worth the time invested learning it.

I think poker has become easier for my style. I think its much easier now to see what my opps have and play accordingly.

Let me guess, you play bad lag.

oddly enough, I haven't seen any 'hudbots' crying. lots of tuff fish crying about hudbots, though. maybe I've got tuff fish confused with a hudbot?
