I would like to thank Sniper as well for his work in being a mod. I don't frequent the Finance or MMB forums, so if posters there have had problems with his modding there I am unware of same.

However it seems from what Carter/db said above that he didn't resign, and thus was forced out. Presumably this was because he broke one of the mere handful of modding rules previously enunciated by Mat & Ryan, because otherwise such a forced exit wouldn't be consistent with Mat's previous statements that he would think it too ungratefuly to ask a mod to quit merely because he sucked, had generally poor judgement, or was even in the bottom 20% of mods. I would venture a guess that Sniper just didn't play well with the other green kids in the mod forum as some other mods, who are horrible in my estimation, clearly must do in order to keep their green status.

Unless Mat has not shared the rules for modding that can result in being de-modded, a group of little things isn't in the short list he has previously shared in this forum. And there are other mods who have list of "little things" that would stretch across the equator and meet itself back where it started. So I guess some mods who suck up better have a counter that resets to zero after every "little thing", while others who don't, just keep adding to the total of "little things" until the counter reaches "a lot".

Having said all that, the admins clearly have the right to mod or de-mod at their sole discretion. But if the standard is largely subjective, that hasn't been what has previously been implied here.
