My left hand's thumb-pinky is longer than my right hand's. My right thumb doesn't bend back as far. I can make an "L" with my left thumb and forefinger but it's more like a "J" with my right hand. But the top thumb knuckle on each bends 180 degrees. Also if I lay my hand flat, I can raise my fingers another ~60 degrees. Yeah, my hands are weird.

Some interesting Wiki stuff on Anthropometrics

They used to have an external link to a US Army study done in 1988 where they measured a bunch of things on the men and women. It was like 600 pages of info. I don't see it on here anymore but I'm sure if you snoop around you'll find a study. They had hand sizes and all...even standard deviations for measurements.

My hand measures 6.75 inches from bottom to tip of middle finger. Across my knuckles it is 3 inches wide. Shockingly I can palm a regulation size basketball, but I'll probably never dunk because I'm 5'8.
