Doh this is scary since I share my mailbox with other people and the people who handle the mail look shady . I thought it would come in a nice FedEx package like last time. Btw how long does it take for US again? 12-15 days? Check was "paid" on 2/20 and no sign yet.

OMG!!! Some guy comes around to my mailbox pretty much every day and leaves stuff in it. He looks real sketchy. I confronted him the other day, and he claimed to belong to some organization called the "United States Postal Service". WTF!?!? Has anyone had this happen to them?

My most recent check was also folded incorrectly as well, and furthermore they sent me two identical checks. I emailed them about and went ahead and deposited one cause I needed the money. No response from stars for a week and then they canceled the check causing me to bounce a few purchases. Thanks for the bank fees stars

I just received a check from FULL TILT. The envelope is identical to the one displayed. The check was displayed thru the envelope window as you show. The return address is the same and the postmark is the same including the numeric code on top. I requested a check from STARS a week before the Stars check and have not received it yet. They stated that it was being mailed from outside the US.

I received an identical check a few days back, arousing simliar, ahem... concerns. Is there any explanation being given for this seemingly bizarre practice?

Yeah i just got one in the mail - same exact thing (showing name, amount of check, etc.) - so jumped on here to make sure everyone knew about this. I'll be sending them an email, others should as well so they resolve this soon.

FWIW, I sent them an email while waiting for the check, asking for a tracking number, and this is the response I got:

=======================
Hello William,

Thank you for your email.

We have switched to a new cheque processor as a result of recent
events. This switch has come with a few notable changes for all players
in the USA:

1) The maximum you can request on any one cheque is $5000. If you wish
to cashout more than this, you will need to use an alternate cashout
method. Please contact security@pokerstars.com for more information
about what options are available to you.

2) All cheques, regardless of the amount, are sent by Express Mail - we
can no longer deliver cheques via UPS or FedEx or any other courier
service, even if you are willing to pay the fee. Please note that
Express mail does not come with tracking numbers for their deliveries,
so we cannot provide tracking data for your cheque.

If you have any further questions, please let us know.

Regards,

Erica

Stars is solid though, I'm sure they will fix this soon

I just got checks from both PS and FTP. Seems they both use the same processor. Both checks were incorrectly folded.

If you fold along the peforation (1/3), the address does not align with the window. If you fold in 1/4 then the address somewhat shows up but you have amount shown. Seems they need to get new envelopes.
