pretty happy so far.

portfolio gained ~2.4% today. so i beat the market. should move up tomorrow.

Just started yesterday. I'm in the top 98%.

I started 3/6 and my return is 2.03%.

That puts me in the top 16% at the moment.

Anyone long equities today is going to do great.

Am I eligible for the grand prize if I register after March 5th?

Participants may register beginning on January 29, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. The Contest will begin on March 5, 2007. Registration will continue after the Start Date; however, any Participant who registers after May 7, 2007 at 9:29 a.m. will not be eligible for winning any prizes. To be eligible for any Weekly Prize, Participants must register by the Monday of the relevant week by 9:00 a.m., but in no event may any Participant be eligible to win more than one (1) Weekly Prize. All times listed will be Eastern Standard Time / Eastern Daylight Standard Time.

A Weekly Prize will be awarded for each week of the first ten (10) weeks of the Contest. To be eligible for the Weekly Prize, Participants must be registered in accordance with the following schedule:

• Week of March 5th Prize: must register by March 5th at 9:29 a.m.
• Week of March 12th Prize: must register by March 12th at 9:29 a.m.
• Week of March 19th Prize: must register by March 19th at 9:29 a.m.
• Week of March 26th Prize: must register by March 26th at 9:29 a.m.
• Week of April 2nd Prize: must register by April 2nd at 9:29 a.m.
• Week of April 9th Prize: must register by April 9th at 9:29 a.m.
• Week of April 16th Prize: must register by April 16th at 9:29 a.m.
• Week of April 23rd Prize: must register by April 23rd at 9:29 a.m.
• Week of April 30th Prize: must register by April 30th at 9:29 a.m.
• Week of May 7th Prize: must register by May 7th at 9:29 a.m.

He he - I'm top 16% as well. However, I am still not 100% invested, and I only invested 2/3 of my cash on the first day.

I am thinking that I need to start putting more eggs in fewer baskets and take on more and more risk as the contest continues.

finished only up .5% yesterday. I have all my stock in MO today. not a stock with a lot of upside. i was thinking the market was going to have a down day, but i didn't want to risk being all in cash.

so i might match the market today, which is in effect losing ground.

I've read some of your posts in the past and have determined that you are a chartist/ technical analyst. Am I correct?

Also, what types of returns has your investment style attained over time?
