Rule of thumb - if you don't want babies don't blow your load in the baby maker. All it takes your gf who says she's so great at taking her pill to get caught somewhere without her pills and you're changing diapers. Take my word for it?

She'd take it at noon one day, 11 pm the next, 10 am the next. I mean, thats pretty much pointless. Needless to say, I was not at all comfortable relying on that alone for birth control.

The pill is basically suppressing her hormones, and when she misses one, or takese one at an off time, or whatever, her hormones are going to kick into overdrive, and the chance of pregnancy goes WAAAY up. If you remove human error, the pill is nearly 100% effective. 99.99% or something like that. But, how many people can actually take the pill at the same time day in, day out. If my wife misses, or takes one late, i wrap up for the week.
