I forget the name but the poker room in one of the Chicagoland casinos (Trump I think) is just disgusting. They decided to put a Crispy Creme near the room so there are times when you can literly see the sticky goo on the chips.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is the one I was going to say. The place is called Majestic Star (used to be Trump). I was there a week ago. Some of their chips still say "1996 Grand Opening."

The $5 chips are so worn a stack of 20 is a full chip shorter than a 20 stack of the $1 chips (I guess they have replaced their $1 chips in the last 11 years.)

At my table there were two $1 chips that just stayed stuck together and got passed around that way for the four hours I was there.

Monte Carlo gets a vote from me, too. The $1 chips are just gross. The first time I played casino poker was here in July '04. My reaction was: "these are the awesome casino chips I was all excited about?"

Also, one of the grossest feelings I've ever had is eating dinner right after playing and realizing I forgot to wash my hands.

Taj and it isn't close.

OK, well, maybe it is close because of the pus story, but the Taj is damn nasty.

They got new greens and reds over the summer but I think they're pretty nasty now too.

[/ QUOTE ]

The new Taj chips aren't gross at all. The Borgata chips are more likely to stick together. Even the old Taj chips (which were pretty gross) weren't as bad as the sticky chips I saw on the old Players casino riverboat in Lake Charles in 1998.

[/ QUOTE ]

the borg chips stick cause of the magnets inside not cause of slime unlike the taj chips that stick together because I believe Carlos Jizz's on them when he wins a hand

For the 1234th time, no magnets.
Flip them over, they should repel. Do they?

The last time I played at Circus Circus LV they had some pretty scuzzy chips, brown and black chunks of "stuff" on them. I watched a dealer rub one on the table and it left a brownish-greenish mark in the felt.

Played once there and have never been back. My only memory of it was this one old guy constantly coughing his lungs out and having to whipe his chin. And of course he layed the tissue right next to his chip stack. After about an hour of this I couldn't take it anymore and left.

Excalibar, the Plaza, El Cortez, Sam's Town; they are all nasty. How about the tournament chips at Luxor?

When leaving any card room I always stop at the john for a good dose of soap and hot water.

I've got a small chip collection from various places I've visited over the years (~60 chips). The top 3, with 1 being the grossest:

1. Taj
2. Horseshoe (LV)
3. Everyone else

Any casino that's been open more than 5 years in Vegas is probably still using the same chips as when they opened. Mirage is a good example. The edges on those chips are so rounded that you won't get one to stand on it's own.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree the Mirage chips were in bad shape when I played there in December. Rounded and dirty. Occaisionally you would get a suprise Bellagio $1 or $5 mixed in which you would cherish among the mirage chips. Someone asked the Argosy, IN if they ever cleaned their chips and the dealer said no.

Taj was my first live experience, and I wasn't so excited to go back after noting the color of my hands.

Mirage chips also tinted my hands, except they made my hands blue. Also, the chips were so worn that I had to manually count every stack to ensure that they were stacks of 20. I was able to easily fit 21 chips in a row in a rack.

You can almost never get herpes on your arm, and if you do it's not going to have pus coming out of it.
