This is the truth. During the day, walking around is fine. Don't go past Showboat at the north end, and don't go past the Trop on the south, unless going to the Hilton.

At night, stay in the casino. The boardwalk is usually fine, but I'd walk with a friend, just to make sure.

I guess people should not walk places that aren't familiar, but there's nothing wrong with walking on the Boardwalk past the Trop. I walk from the Hilton all the way to Ventnor all the time. Also, during the day there's nothing scary about the walk from Ballys to the bus terminal.
