Hilary. She can't win, she's polarizing, and she simply isn't a good Presidential candidate.

Not far behind in a tie for second are Romney, Brownback, Guiliani, and McCain.

As a Dem, it's clearly Hillary (from the frontrunners at least). Not only is she unelectable, but I don't like her style at all.

If I were a GOPer I'd say Guiliani. How can an adulterer with gay friends win the hearts of the moral majority?

It's not nearly enough, and he can't even bring it up during the campaign. "Remember how I left my office to go help out on 9/11? I did great!"

Clinton is the one Democratic candidate who would definitely make me vote Green. I don't want Republicans to nominate McCain because I think he matches up well against any Democratic candidate and might win.

[/ QUOTE ]

I should not that I will be also voting green during this election cycle. Although it's easy for me to do since I live in Illinois. If Obama gets the nomination there is no way he won't get all the electoral votes for this state.

[/ QUOTE ]

If Obama gets elected, can we call him President Palmer?

[/ QUOTE ]Get it? It's funny because they're both black!

Hillary because she voted for the war and she still will not admit her mistake.

I am neither a Democrat nor a Republican. I plan on voting for a third-party candidate unless McCain runs. If McCain runs I will vote for the Democratic candidate.

I'm curious--why so much hate for McCain? He was very popular not that long ago.

he used to have a reputation as "maverick" who "stuck by his principles". now it turns out he is a pandering douche with no principles whatsoever.

One big problem I see with McCain is that he doesn't believe in free speech: see McCain-Feingold Act.

I honestly can't remember the other issues, but some time within the last year I reached the conclusion that McCain also seems to be a champion of government paternalism.

While I'm no ACer, I do feel that government should interfere less, not more, with how Americans choose to live their lives.

McCain: does not respect free-speech, and is a serious governmental paternalism fan

Giuliani: Gun Control Extremist; and believes in Ultra-Law-Enforcement. The clear choice for the Police State Candidate of the last 50 years.

Clinton: Avowed Anti-Individualist; and too far Left for my taste.

Obama: Even further Left than Hillary; and too inexperienced for the job of chief executive.

As I find out more about other candidates I may add to this thread at a later date.

By the way, good question, Whiskeytown.

lol...any moderate/indp Dems who used to be into McCain are gone.

McCain just came out and said Row v Wade should be overturned lol...I'm waiting for him to come out and say all gays should be shipped to Antartica.

McCain seems to have turned into a even worse version of John Kerry...a maa=n so desperate to get elected President he'll say or do just about anything that he thinks will help him.

The two worst canidates are McCain and Hillary...Rudy is a close 3rd.

the sad thing is Hillary is close to a lock unless Obama does something amazing.

[/ QUOTE ]

True .. as an Arizonan it has been sad to see McCain let go of his principles and pander to the religious right. I do not know who it was that advised him to do this, but he may have shot himself in the foot by doing so.

Before he started pandering to the religious right conservitives there were a lot of independents and "middle of the road" Dems who may have voted for him.
