My roommate plays Magic and gets like $500 to go compete in tournaments. I don't understand where the money comes from or how the prize pools are actually decent.

I'd guess the money is put up by the folks that make the one cent cards and sell them for lots and lots of money.

Magic is lol. I still remember being in high school and them having a special room during lunches to play. It was like the whole cast of Revenge of the Nerds being put together.

Any kind of alcohol, whiskey, sake or zima.
