Am I a total loser for wanting to see sasha and digweed the most?

Is this pretty much like a Woodstock type thing where you set up your little camp-out for the whole weekend?

Or do you buy tickets for individual days?

Police is the big one for me.
Wouldn't mind seeing Wilco.

Have seen Galactic and was unimpressed.
I don't care about White Stripes really but my GF probably would (as well as a couple of the other bands).

I'm guessing I'm going to try to see the Police in St. Louis or New Orleans instead.

Going to one of these things to pretty much just see one band doesn't always work out so great (tough to get close, sometimes the sound sucks, etc etc).

I'm only 4 hours from Manchester, TN though so I haven't ruled it out completely yet.

it is like a wood stock thing where you camp for three days. i went 3 years ago and it was a hell of a lot of fun. for the most part, everyone there has a good attitude (didn't see any fights even though there was lots of drinking and drugs). there are certain unsavory elements, such as people selling hard drugs or trying to rip kids off by selling fake e and acid, but you can avoid this. also, i suggest avoiding the nitrous tanks which are generally surrounded by idiots doing way to much and passing out in the hot tennessee sun.

Overall, its a great time if you don't mind being dirty for a weekend.

This looks awesome. I hope ACL gets a decent part of this lineup.

I could make the trip for one day of this.
No way I'm going to camp-out for a whole weekend nor do I think GF and I would have the time.

I'm 36 and she's 30 so I kind of feel like we're too old for something like that anyway.

why plenty of good bands on there, bands like STS9 John Butler etc all good dirty hippie music

Curious how the camp grounds are going to be security wise with the police there

Has something changed? When I went in 2004 there were plenty of cops on horses that didn't care what the hell you were smoking, etc, as long as you didn't start a fight or have a seizure...
