ok I just talked it over with shpanko, we decided it's ok to get the money in here, but calling the turn and open-shoving the river looks much weirder and less strong than the check-raise.

I also think that getting 4-1 with an overpair villain might call QQ-TT more often than I was implying in my earlier posts.

I don't really get what your "friend" was trying to do here.

Very clever AJ; however, the "Hero is running at 22/20" line in the OP should obviously disqualify me from having played this hand. Also, I don't fold overpairs in RR pots. Also, this was on Stars.

looks good after the flop check. i'd check the flop once in a while, but usually i'd just lead.

This smells like one of those crazy CAterp folds. Bet flop. If you pot flop and he raises you can CONSIDER giving him credit for AA, but as played I don't think villain has to have AA or a set here every time.

I think so many 2p2ers like this style of assuming our opponents will play rationally in big pots like this, meaning that we assume they check behind TT-QQ and AcKc because that's what we would do. But in practice I really don't think that's the case. A lot of villains will be betting with a wider range than we think simply b/c of hero's image and his two postflop checks.

It baffles me how someone can get 200bb when they play this badly.

Bet the flop, evaluate, then fold if he comes way over the top.

yeah, hero's play is horrendous.

putting in 200 BBs with KK in this spot is great.

Bet flop, push a reraise. When you run into a set reload afterwards.
