Mine was from Chexx Inc., also, but the postmark was from Canada (Quebec, if I recall correctly).

I requested a check Jan. 18, got it today. Which was like 18 business days. Went to the bank to deposit it and the teller ladies wouldn't take it. It was from Chexx Inc. Anyone else get trouble from the banks? Any advice on what to do?

No place on the check or the accompanying stub was there any mention of the source of the funds.

This was one of the reasons the tellers at my bank wouldn't take the check. So for those of you who think the banks don't care where it comes from, my bank did.

I find it hard to believe they would not accept the check for deposit and put a 5-7 day hold on it.
Your bank sounds weak.

Just go to US Bank (that's where the check is drawn from) and have it cashed for $5. I've done it twice, at two different US Bank locations. Not tiny amounts either ($2.5, and $3k). Photo ID, thumbprint, no questions asked.

Well that sounds pretty good. Also, yeah my bank is a small one and the tellers think I'm getting scammed by some fake lottery scheme and don't want to be responsible. I didn't have time to argue with them because it was closing time today when I went in. Thanks.
